Shkumbin ‘Bini’ Mustafa

Founder, and lead in all projects

Hi, I'm Bini. I've been a journalist, editor, marketer, digital strategy consultant, multi-sport coach, fashion brand manager and even an athlete.

I've competed (still do) in the Olympic sport of team handball. I've proudly represented Team USA, won 7 USA National Championships, secured a Canadian National Championship with New York City Team Handball Club (the first and only U.S. team to achieve this), participated in the World Club Championship in Saudi Arabia, becoming the first club from North America and the Caribbean to achieve this feat and triumphed as a Kosovo Champion with my hometown handball club Prishtina,

Love tennis? Me too. I've been a tennis champion in Kosovo and as a certified PTR coach, I've helped lots of people get better at the game.

Now that you're aware of my team-oriented mindset, my love for competition, and my pursuit of excellence, you should also know that I take great pleasure in helping businesses discover their unique strengths. I specialize in leveraging digital platforms to amplify their narratives and establish genuine connections with people. Having a distinctive and compelling brand is crucial; without it, businesses risk getting lost in the crowd. Maintaining an active and authentic presence on digital platforms is key to keeping your brand both human and approachable.

If you are doing something great I can help your brand elevate. Let's team up and make a difference, together!

A former refugee and now a proud New Yorker, Bini has vast life experiences from being involved in sports, fashion, journalism, the not-for-profit sector and visual communications.

Year 1999. Bini’s first job as a refugee.

Tennis

As a former Kosovo Tennis Champion and a PTR certified professional coach, tennis was Bini’s way of adapting to his new life in the USA. He arrived in New York City in 1999 as a refugee from Kosovo with a few hundred $$ in his pocket. His first job was coaching at Green Hollow Tennis Club in East Hampton. Even though he didn’t know many people in his new home his ability to connect and help people, fairly quickly allowed Bini to build a reputation as one of the most sought out tennis coaches at the club. From East Hampton to Stamford, and ultimately New York City he continued helping people become better tennis players.

Year 2020. Covid-19 lockdown Bini started his podcast.

Podcast

When New York City decided to enter the lockdown at the end of March 2020, the freedom and the ability to connect with people was limited. During that time Bini decided to start a podcast (Straight Handball Talk) with a mission to showcase the extraordinary bonding power of sports, especially the Olympic sport of team handball. His guests were a mix of legendary players who have achieved every imaginable success (Olympic, World, and European Champions) to amateur players and fans who are just as devoted to the sport. This podcast portrays how handball brings people together and keeps them together.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
